Terms of Service

The rules for using Best Darn Finance App and the responsibilities shared by the app and its customers.

Draft effective date: September 15, 2026

The service

Best Darn Finance App provides tools for recording transactions, organizing receipts, planning cash, tracking subscriptions and trials, reconciling accounts, and preparing bookkeeping reports. Features may change as the service improves.

Your account

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your password and devices, promptly reporting unauthorized access, and ensuring that people using your account have permission. You may not share an individual sign-in in a way that bypasses plan limits or security controls.

Your bookkeeping responsibilities

  • You control and own the financial information you enter.
  • You must review transactions, receipt suggestions, categories, equity corrections, reconciliations, and reports for accuracy.
  • You are responsible for keeping any original records required by law, contract, a lender, or a tax authority.
  • The app does not replace a certified public accountant, bookkeeper, attorney, tax professional, financial adviser, or bank.

Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds

Prices, included features, billing frequency, trial terms, cancellation timing, taxes, and the refund policy will be shown before purchase. The final policy must be configured in Stripe and stated here before the first paid plan is offered.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law, access another customer's information, upload malicious material, probe or disrupt the service, defeat security or billing controls, or use the app for fraudulent records or transactions.

Customer content and privacy

You retain ownership of your customer content and give the operator the limited permission needed to host, process, back up, and display it to provide the service. Use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service reliable, but maintenance, provider outages, security events, and circumstances outside reasonable control may interrupt access. Material changes that reduce paid functionality will be communicated reasonably in advance when practical.

Ending an account

You may cancel according to the plan's cancellation rules. The operator may suspend or end access for nonpayment, unlawful use, serious security risk, or a material violation of these Terms. The final export window and deletion schedule must be stated before launch.

Disclaimers and responsibility

The service provides bookkeeping tools and is offered subject to the warranties required by applicable law. The final agreement must contain attorney-approved warranty, indemnity, liability-limit, dispute, and consumer-rights language appropriate to the operating business and the states where customers are served.

Governing terms and contact

The operator's legal business name, governing state, mailing address, support email, payment terms, and dispute process must be completed and reviewed by a qualified attorney before these Terms are accepted by paying customers.
